Driver for Windows operating systems: You must run this installer prior to plugging in the USB-1 cable. This installer creates the following driver on your system: Uniden USB-1 Cable Important Windows 8 and 10 Information The current Prolific Driver, as delivered through their web site and through Windows Update for Windows 8 and 10, will not work with older USB-1 cables that use the PL2303HXA chipset. To use these drivers you must have a current USB-1 cable that uses the PL2303HXD chipset.

By Jonathan Higgins - Scanner Expert Please follow the step by step instructions on how to install the drivers for the (BWZG1666001) Step 1 Download the serial driver required for your scanner (Save it to your desktop) Step 2 Go to your start menu and search 'Device Manager' Step 3 Connect the Uniden USB Programming cable to your computer and scanner. Note your scanner should be powered on. Once connected the cable should appear in your 'Other Devices' as seen bellow.
